The co***ny is located on the Tarim river bank which is the source of Xinjiang wild licorice, it has been manufacturing licorice extract for over 40 years, and it is a designated licorice producing factory by the state.
In April 2002 the co***ny was acquired by the Xinjiang Development Co., Ltd based in South Xinjiang, who employ a large number of both managerial and technical professionals, they have invested heavily to transform the whole business process, adding new vitality to the enterprise.
The co***ny has a registered capital of over 21.5 million RMB and there are three shareholders. It has three production lines, two farms where the planting is still done by hand, a dedicated research and development center and over 230 people are now employed. We are an industrial pharmaceutical enterprise which exports licorice based products globally.
In 2005 the co***ny invested more than 13 million RMB for GMP license (Good Manufacturing Practice). The prestigious certification license was awarded by the state in March 2006. (Up to now, there are only four licorice production enterprises which have a GMP license, our co***ny was the first to achieve a license for manufacturing licorice products). We are now the leading manufacturer of licorice extracts with the largest product portfolio available.
The co***ny manufactures seven products; licorice extract, licorice extract powder, glycyrrhizin, mono-ammonium glycyrrhizinate, licorice cream, total flavonoids of glycyrrhiza, and licorice slices. Our ˇ°Hongliuˇ±, ˇ°Xinnongˇ± branded licorice extracts have achieved ˇ°China Famous Brandˇ± status, an honorary title. These brands are still the market leader in Chinese domestic market and have been for many years. They are also exported to America, Europe, Australia and Japan and are highly appreciated by all of the customers for its high quality.
